June 2006** ...I'm Cheryl... he's Mike and we're from the USA...Boothwyn, Pennsylvania to be exact

First...I'm sure you know why Wagglintails?  I'm a dog lover, with a heart for Labradors, and for the passed 7 years I've had the pleasure of having both a Yellow & Black Lab in my life. Hatfield, my Yellow, was my first baby and my best friend. I lost him to lymphoma 4/1/2005, he was just six years old. I still miss him. Then came along McCoy and as you can guess he's my Black Lab. He's now 16 months old. If you know anything about young Labs then you know what my life is like. I had forgotten how much energy puppies can have!!! People keep telling me "he'll calm down when he's around 2 years old"  Wagglintails is for them!!!

OK...let's seeabout me??? Well, I was born in the Spring of 1959, so that tells you how old I am without actually saying the numbers. Not that I 'REALLY' mind, I consider myself fortunate to be able to say I'm 47. Maybe some day I'll even feel it!!! I enjoy doing crafts, making up a good gift basket really does it for me!!!  My homemade jellies and jams have become an annual favorite with friends and family. We have a peach tree in the backyard and last year was the first year we got the fruit before the squirrels and I was able to make A LOT of peach jam. Even shipped some over the pond. Which....I met in 2004 just by chance. My Cyber Family!!!       Geez... do I sound like I'm ready for my own rocking chair or what not really, I just enjoy my domestic rut

Well you've heard about me & our dogs so how about a bit about Mike  He also made his entrance into the world in the Spring....1953. What do you think the chances would be that I meet a man from New Jersey at a bar in Pennsylvania?? A bit overwhelming when I first met his family...he's 1 of 12!!! Yep...& he's #6!!!  It took some time to remember all their names, but, it made it easier when I finally remembered...4 girls..4 boys..1 girl...3 boys. Sports are his pass time, but, BASEBALL is his favorite.  He played it all through his high school years and even for township & business sponsored teams when he was older.  He was pretty good, I must say, even though I met him in the LATER years of his baseball career.

I can't believe it Boothwyn Pennsylvania on the net<<click there  It's not nearly as exciting as the villa community we own in Italy ... but we call it home.

7/2/06**Take a look at the peaches...the tree is just FULL of peaches. I even hung a small wind chime in the tree hoping to would promote tranquility and more peaches

7/3/06**We had a horrible storm yesterday evening!!! The winds were unbelievable!!! You could see the tops of the trees swaying big time!!! I was really glad it only lasted about 30 minutes and moved on out!!! We have a few large trees around the house and I love them but when storms move in they can be scary. We were lucky...just some limbs to clean up but my neighbors had a bit more damage.

7/9/06**Oh NO...squirrels are getting to the peaches...Mike NOT happy.

7/20/06**Well the squirrels win again no peaches left on the tree...peaches on the ground...and more peaches on the ground. Last year we had a hawk nesting in the trees behind our house. Mike thinks that's why we got them last year instead of the squirrels. The hawk didn't return this year. I can still make peach jam but it was neat that I actually grew them too. I'm gonna try pickled green tomatoes. Unless the bunnies get THEM first

9/17/06**A week from Autumn/Fall already...where did the time go??  The summer was really HOT and the tomatoe crop...NOT so good... so I guess I'll try making pickled tomatoes some other time.

McCoy is now 19 months old, he still has all that energy but seems to understand when Mike & I are tuckered. We had our first kinda emergency vet visit this month. Some how he pulled the toe nail off one of his toes on his back paw.  The vet thinks he may have 'stubbed' his toe. He was really in pain. I really felt bad for him, but he's a quick healer and is already on the mend.

Crispness in the air has moved in quite quickly and Mike has changed from his khaki work pants to jeans...the first 2 indicators that a new season is upon us.  Fall is one of my favorite seasons, it's a cozy season.  I guess if I were a bear I'd be going into pre-hibernation

10/13/06**It's Friday the 13th and we've made it through the day without superstitious happenings.

11/10/06**Mike and McCoy were playing ball in the back yard later in the afternoon.  McCoy likes playing but doesn't quite get the concept that you have to bring the ball back so it can be thrown again   Any who... Mike decided to sit down at the picnic table and ye know from his picture that McCoy thinks it's something you stand on and up he jumps and all Mike sees is blood.  Yep he did it again.  Ripped off another toenail.  Same toe other back paw   We don't know how he does it so we went through another night of pain and licking but yet again he's back on the mend. He's a good/quick healer so THANK GOD for that!!!
